In my mid-forties to mid-fifties, I climbed mountains for a hobby, including some seriously high peaks. This required utmost physical fitness and intense training, but after a few significant injuries, I had fallen out-of-shape. In my late fifties, I wanted to get back out there with a hiking trip in the Alps. I needed the most general fitness training my body could support as well as specific training for endurance/mountain hiking, all while accounting for my limitations from previous injuries. A tough assignment, but Jess Ciola took it on and provided me with a rigorous, personalized program to meet my needs. Several months of training under Jess’ supervision made me completely fit to accomplish seven straight days of strenuous hiking and to enjoy every minute of it. She takes a most creative approach to customize my workouts, making them always challenging and enjoyable, while meeting my strength and fitness goals. Even when I’m not training for another adventure, I continue my sessions with Jess and I look forward to each one.

Through stretching, focused excercises, and other guidance regarding rehabilitation (e.g., hydration, sleep, mobility), I was finally able to recover to the point of being able to throw a football with my son. I have been so pleased with his training that I have referred my wife to him who has now worked with him for the past several months. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, training with Gene has instilled in me a sense of resilience that has allowed me to cope with life stressors in a healthy manner. Today, exercise has become a part of my weekly (if not daily) routine, and I thank Gene for making that happen. In summary, I highly recommend Gene without qualification and hope he can improve your health and sense of wellness just as he has done for me.
